Background and Experience

Koal Artzer was born and raised in Goodland, KS and returned in Nov 2022 to re-establish his roots and aimed towards starting the firm in December 2023.

Throughout his studies at both universities, Koal had three internships at a local accounting firm in Topeka and a large regional accounting firm in Kansas City.

Following graduation in 2020, he obtained his CPA license in Missouri and began working at a large regional public accounting firm. He worked as an Audit Associate for nearly two years and worked with privately-held companies with annual revenues between $5 million and $50 million. This work included in-depth analyses of each company’s financial statements as well as their internal controls and financial processes.

Koal’s audit experience was foundational to his understanding of accounting and how large businesses operate. However, the bulk of his professional experience was obtained as a Senior Associate in the CFO Advisory practice of a large multinational public accounting firm in Kansas City and Denver.

Over two years at this firm, Koal developed solutions to complex accounting matters for both privately-held and publicly-traded companies. The companies he worked with typically had annual revenues ranging from $10 million to $250 million and required assistance with many things ranging from financial statement consolidations to technical accounting research and application for very large and complex transactions.

Koal is currently a licensed CPA in Kansas.

He and his wife Sarah are also members of the Goodland Ambassadors. If you see them out and about in their green jackets - come say hello!
